We are a patient-driven practice. Your hearing health is our top priority, and that’s why we offer a wide range of hearing services to better help you. From diagnostic hearing testing to programming hearing aids, our audiologist is experienced in providing compassionate, quality care.
We offer the following services to keep your hearing healthy:
Tinnitus, commonly known as ringing in the ears, is when you hear noises that are not externally present. Tinnitus is usually an annoying humming, ringing, or whistling sound that you hear, most often when it is quiet. Patients who have hearing loss as well as tinnitus may experience the symptoms more persistently because they are constantly in a quiet world because of their hearing loss. For those who do not have hearing loss, tinnitus symptoms can worsen at night because the world becomes quieter.
If you suspect you have tinnitus then come see us for an audiological evaluation. We can determine if there is any damage to the cochlear nerve or hair cells and perform a hearing test along with high-frequency OAEs to see if there is anything present that doesn’t show in your audiogram. We can also refer you to the ENT to ensure it’s not sinus-related or another issue they could diagnose and treat. Although there is no cure for tinnitus, we can help you feel more in control over it. We will give you information regarding your tinnitus and will help you reduce the trigger symptoms.
We perform testing for dizziness, balance issues, and vertigo. We have videonystagmography (VNG) equipment and do mapping for balance issues that are often connected to the inner ear. Our audiologist, Dr. Prince, has a background in both hearing aids and vestibular disorders, gait issues, and balance disorders. At Atlanta ENT, we are able to assess the cause of your dizziness. If you experience nausea, the feeling of spinning, or balance issues, then come see us so we can perform diagnostic testing. We will determine if it is the peripheral balance system that is causing you to feel dizzy, and if it’s not, then we will refer you to another specialist. We are able to assess your dizziness, identify the cause, and give you the proper care you need. We have been able to successfully treat many cases of vertigo for patients. By working with the ENTs we are able to do full-scan MRIs and CT scans in-office.
We provide all-encompassing ear care. We are connected to physical therapists in our building in case you need vestibular physical therapy, so we can refer you if needed right in the same location. We understand how it feels to be dizzy and to have trouble with your balance. We want to help you feel your best again. Come to Atlanta ENT where we have cohesive care all in one place, so you don’t have to go to different facilities to find help. We want to help you experience an improved quality of life.
